Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to develop and maintain robust automated testing solutions using Katalon Studio.

The role focuses primarily on test automation development, quality assurance, and supporting continuous improvement in the automation processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in automation testing, particularly with Katalon Studio, and a passion for creating efficient and scalable test automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

-Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Katalon Studio for web, mobile, and API applications. Implement configuration-over-code automation solutions to improve ease of use and scalability of test cases.

-Automation Framework Maintenance: Contribute to the development and maintenance of automation frameworks, focusing on creating robust, reusable, and scalable solutions. Ensure the frameworks are easy to maintain and enhance by both technical and non-technical team members.

-Test Execution and Reporting: Run automated tests, analyze test results, identify issues, and report defects. Work closely with the QA and development teams to ensure efficient test coverage and defect resolution.

-CI/CD Integration: Work with the CI/CD team to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration pipeline using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI to ensure timely and accurate testing throughout the development lifecycle.

-Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and other engineers, to align on test coverage, priorities, and automation goals. Contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices in test automation.

-Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest trends in test automation tools, technologies, and best practices. Implement improvements to increase automation efficiency, reduce maintenance overhead, and enhance test coverage.

-Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of test automation processes, frameworks, and scripts to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing across the team.

Required Qualifications:

-Proven experience as a Senior Automation Engineer with a strong focus on Katalon Studio for test automation.

-Hands-on experience with Katalon Studio in automating web, mobile, and API tests.

-Strong proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Groovy, or JavaScript for writing automation scripts. Solid experience with configuration-over-code automation solutions to create flexible and scalable test cases.

-Experience with CI/CD integration and automating tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g.,Jenkins, GitLab).

-Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and the SDLC, with experience working in an Agile environment.

-Proven track record of developing and maintaining automation frameworks that enhance testing efficiency and coverage.

-Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide practical solutions.

-Experience working with version control tools, particularly Git.

-Excellent team collaboration skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience with other automation tools or frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, or TestNG.

-Familiarity with performance or load testing tools.

-Experience in cloud-based testing environments.

-Familiarity with test data management and creating test scenarios based on business requirements.

Salary range:

$60,000 to $90,000 Monthly gross Mexican pesos plus benefits
